Join the team at George Boyack as an Occupational Therapist I, focusing on rehabilitation for residents. Deliver assessments and treatments that enhance functional independence on units.
As a casual therapist, you'll work daytime shifts from 08:00 to 16:15, engaging with residents to improve their quality of life.
Your role will involve assessment and discharge planning to ensure effective therapeutic interventions. Clinical supervision for support staff and students may also be part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform assessments for client treatment plans
• Create and implement discharge planning
• Facilitate therapeutic interventions for functional independence
• Supervise support staff and students when needed
• Handle other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Eligible for CAOT membership
• AADL Authorizer designation is a plus
• Clinical care experience preferred but not required
