Engaging Recreation Therapy Aide

Position: Engaging Recreation Therapy Aide Role
Become a crucial part of the Age Care team as a Recreation Therapy Aide. Facilitate and enhance residents' recreational experiences with a focus on teamwork and individualized care.

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will assist in assessing residents’ needs and developing tailored recreational programs. The role involves coordinating offsite activities, managing schedules, and ensuring active participation while maintaining a positive and respectful environment. You will help uphold Age Care’s principles of trust and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and document residents’ Leisure Lifestyle goals

• Ensure timely adjustments to recreational activities

• Drive residents to external events safely

• Support monthly planning and evaluation of recreational programs

• Maintain inventory of craft and storage supplies

Requirements:

• RTA diploma or HCA certificate preferred

• Class 4 Driver’s License or intention to obtain

• CPR & First Aid certification beneficial

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Relevant experience in Recreation Therapy is preferred
