Position: Physiotherapy Assistant/ Front Desk

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our healthcare team. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional patient care support alongside managing front desk operations in a busy physiotherapy clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital or acute care settings, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and well-being while supporting the daily administrative functions of the clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures at the front desk
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
  • Assist physiotherapists with patient preparation and basic support during therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Provide patient care support, including guiding patients through exercises or mobility assistance as directed by therapists
  • Manage phone calls, inquiries, and correspondence related to clinic operations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance processing, and maintaining appointment calendars
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and treatment rooms
  • Support the clinical team with basic equipment setup and sanitation protocols
Requirements
  • Prior experience in hospital or acute care environments is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff

    Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient comfort and safety
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling, record keeping, and administrative tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a clinical environment

Pay: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
