Become an Integrated Living Practitioner with the DDRC in Calgary, supporting adults with developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes personal care, skill development, and community engagement.
You will maintain and promote the well-being and independence of clients through daily living skills and encourage personal growth. Responsibilities include meal preparation, medication administration, and ensuring safety in a welcoming home environment.
Your role will vary across days, evenings, and weekends, requiring flexibility and commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients with daily living skills and personal goals
• Assist in grocery shopping and attending community activities
• Schedule and accompany clients to medical appointments
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Facilitate physical activities and promote an active lifestyle
Requirements:
• Disabilities studies education or equivalent experience
• Current Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C training
• Experience with individuals displaying behaviors of concern
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle preferred
