What is a day in the life of an FA Occupational Therapist?
  • You will assess and treat individuals experiencing various neurological, orthopedic disorders, and mental health injuries.
  • You will assist clients with establishing and meeting meaningful goals in their homes and in community settings such as malls, coffee shops, libraries, and more.
  • You will create and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning.
  • You will liaise with a variety of community partners and rehab professionals to facilitate client goals and independence.
Qualifications
  • Masters University Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Member in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
License/Certification
  • ACOT registration or provisional license (Required)
  • Drivers license and access to a vehicle (Required)
  • At least 2 years practicing as an Occupational Therapist
