Health Care Aide

Position: Health Care Aide at Optima Living
Become a Health Care Aide with Optima Living in Calgary, Alberta. Support senior residents' daily activities while promoting their well-being, dignity, and independence.

As a Health Care Aide reporting to the Director of Care, you will assist residents with emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. This role involves routine documentation of care and active participation in developing personalized care plans that respect the uniqueness of each resident. Your contribution significantly impacts the quality of life for seniors in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support care team to meet residents' diverse needs

• Assist with move ins, palliative care, and dignity maintenance

• Develop personal care plans in collaboration with residents

• Document interventions and report changes to nursing staff

• Respond promptly to resident requests and emergencies

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program

• Current registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta

• Active CPR and First Aid certification

• Experience in residential care or mental health settings

• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
