AHS is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enhance its pharmacy team. In this position, you will perform sterile and non-sterile compounding, conduct final checks on medications, and assist with inventory and procurement. Mentoring and training Pharmacy Assistants, along with completing patient-specific medication orders, are key responsibilities of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications following protocols

• Coordinate sterile and non-sterile compounding tasks

• Conduct final checks on medication orders

• Mentor and precept Pharmacy Assistants and students

• Oversee compliance with safety and operational standards

Requirements:

• Completion of CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program

• Current registration with Alberta College of Pharmacy

• 2+ years hospital experience in pediatrics required

• Proficient in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
