Part-Time Rehab Assistant

Make a difference as a part-time Rehab Assistant at Wing Kei in Calgary, AB. Collaborate with therapists to elevate client care and enhance mobility and daily living skills.

At Wing Kei, you will assist in the rehabilitation process under the supervision of the Director of Care and Clinical Manager. This role includes applying therapeutic programs, educating on mobility aids, and ensuring the safety of rehabilitation equipment. Commitment to Fall Prevention and ongoing training is essential for maintaining the high standards of care that Wing Kei upholds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement rehabilitation exercises as directed

• Guide residents on the use of assistive devices

• Ensure safety and maintenance of rehabilitation tools

• Document resident progress for assessments

• Participate in ongoing Fall Prevention efforts

Requirements:

• Recognized Therapy Assistant Program completion

• Experience in Long Term Care settings preferred

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication

• Physically fit for handling residents and equipment

• Observant with attention to residents’ needs
