Join the Calgary Board of Education as an Educational Audiologist, specializing in support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. You’ll integrate into the Inclusive Education team, providing essential support.
This position focuses on ensuring equitable access to education for DHH students from diverse backgrounds. Your responsibilities will include capacity building for staff, maintaining and troubleshooting auditory technologies, and coordinating student supports. Your collaboration with families and educators will be critical in enhancing educational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate test results and inform student programming decisions
• Conduct training sessions on auditory impairment awareness
• Manage auditory equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Provide consultations regarding equipment needs
• Maintain accurate records of student audiological progress
Requirements:
• Degree in audiology (Master’s or Doctorate)
• Must be registered with Alberta Audiologists
• Three years' pediatric audiology experience required
• Knowledge in FM systems and acoustic environments
• Strong interpersonal communication skills desirable
