As a Clinical Authorization Specialist, you will play a key role in obtaining crucial authorizations for outpatient services and treatments will liaise with medical personnel and pharmacy staff to facilitate accurate and timely authorizations, improving patient care. Your responsibilities will include managing patient documentation and ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate patient Medical Record Numbers and verify identities
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information diligently
• Determine patient insurance contracts with USC
• Resolve GE Centricity Alerts and edit insurance details
• Assure necessary documents are signed and scanned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of experience in a hospital or related field
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Customer service excellence exhibited consistently
