As a vital part of the recreational team, this role assists in assessing individual needs and developing tailored recreation schedules. You will play a key role in transportation for offsite activities and ensure activities comply with care plans. Collaboration is at the heart of this position, as you contribute to planning and evaluating programs, encouraging resident participation, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify residents' Leisure Lifestyle goals with individualized plans
• Communicate changes in residents' needs to appropriate personnel
• Execute recreational programming to fulfill individual requirements
• Drive residents to offsite activities using provided vehicle
• Assist in planning the monthly Recreation Calendar
Requirements:
• RTA certificate or diploma required
• Class 4 Drivers License or willingness to obtain
• Heart saver CPR & Standard Level First Aid certification preferred
• Experience in a Recreation Therapy setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
