Enhance life quality for residents as a Recreation Therapy Aide iver recreational activities that foster independence and social connections within a caring community.
In this role, you will support the recreational needs of residents while maintaining departmental records and ensuring all equipment adheres to safety standards. Your participation will be crucial in evaluating and improving recreation programs, alongside a dynamic team dedicated to enriching residents' lives. Flexibility in working various shifts and potential travel for educational purposes is essential to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate departmental records and required documentation
• Contribute to ongoing evaluation of recreation programs
• Ensure recreation supplies and equipment meet safety standards
• Work varied shifts to provide essential care
• Report deficiencies promptly to the Program Manager
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies or related field
• Enrollment in a relevant program expected to complete within three years
• Knowledge of recreation services delivery in healthcare settings
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic care environment
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check, or willingness to obtain
