Hull Services is seeking a passionate individual for the Educational Child and Youth Care Counsellor role. This position involves working with elementary-aged children experiencing developmental delays and mental health struggles. Your work will be crucial in providing supportive instruction, planning therapeutic activities, and employing trauma-informed strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group psycho-educational instruction
• Supervise students during transitions and non-class time
• Implement individualized behavioral support plans
• Collaborate with families and caregivers effectively
• Maintain records and report on student progress
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Services or Social Sciences
• Experience with youth facing developmental disabilities
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent judgment in therapeutic relationships
• Police Information Check and Child Intervention Record Check required
