Become a vital part of the team at Nova Scotia Health as a full-time Rehabilitation Assistant at Queens General Hospital. Collaborate with therapists and assist patients with movement and daily functions.
This temporary long-assignment position involves working closely with individuals, families, and groups under the supervision of qualified therapists. You will manage interventions designed to support patients in rehabilitation, ensuring safety and effectiveness. The role includes maintaining treatment areas and equipment while possibly providing services across the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist therapists in delivering patient interventions
• Educate patients and families on mobility and function
• Check and clean rehabilitation equipment regularly
• Maintain treatment and storage areas effectively
• Order necessary supplies for the team
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 or GED
• Rehabilitation Assistant Program certification
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation
