As a Personal Support Worker at Extendicare, you will follow care plans designed by supervisors, facilitating residents’ transitions and reporting on their status. Key skills include personal care, nutrition planning, and emotional support, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our residents.
Your role is crucial in enhancing their quality of life while adhering to Extendicare's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care and hygiene support for residents
• Assist with transfers and mobility tasks as needed
• Observe, report, and document changes in conditions
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for clients
• Maintain safety and confidentiality in all tasks
Requirements:
• Completion of Personal Support Worker program
• Experience with seniors in community health
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check within six months
