Compassionate Care Companion

Become a Care Companion at Sage Hill by Optima Living in Calgary, Alberta. Provide essential daily living support while fostering relationships that enhance resident well-being and dignity.

In this role, reporting to the Director of Care, you will assist residents with daily activities under the guidance of nursing staff. Your support will encompass physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring a person-centered approach. Collaborate with our innovative care team to create an uplifting environment for seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build supportive relationships through regular resident interaction

• Assist in personal care as outlined in service plans

• Document observations and report changes promptly

• Provide assistance with mobility and daily living tasks

• Participate in recreational activities alongside residents

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience in residential care

• Grade 12 education or equivalent required

• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset

• Proven teamwork and communication skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts
