Full-Time Health Care Aide

Enhance residents' lives as a Health Care Aide at Age Care Shawnee in Calgary. Provide support and essential care under a Licensed Practical Nurse, fostering comfort and well-being every day.

In this temporary full-time role, you will collaborate closely with the care team to deliver basic care services to residents. Your duties will encompass bathing, transferring, feeding, and assisting residents throughout their daily activities. Uphold residents' dignity and comfort while following strict safety procedures, ensuring a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with bathing and personal hygiene

• Support transfers using safe equipment and techniques

• Help residents with meals and adhering to dietary needs

• Provide routine treatments under staff nurse supervision

• Facilitate residents' movement to activities and therapy sessions

Requirements:

• One year of experience in a related care environment

• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide Certificate

• Active registration with Alberta's health care authority

• Fluent in English, written and spoken

• Post-secondary education is an asset
