Full-Time Health Care Aide

Contribute to resident care with Age Care Shawnee as a Health Care Aide in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time, temporary role offers essential support during night shifts for six months.

As a Health Care Aide at Age Care Shawnee, you will collaborate with the care team to deliver comprehensive support to residents under the guidance of a Licensed Practical Nurse. Your responsibilities will include personal care, transfers, feeding assistance, and routine treatments for residents while ensuring their comfort and well-being in a compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with bathing, showering, and personal hygiene

• Facilitate safe transfers using lifts and transfer belts

• Support residents during meals and snacks

• Administer routine treatments as instructed by nursing staff

• Help residents participate in facility activities

Requirements:

• Minimum one year experience in continuing care preferred

• Diploma in personal care aide or equivalent

• English fluency required

• Active registration with CLHA Alberta
