Spiritual Care Practitioner

Become a vital part of Bethany Care Society in Calgary as a Spiritual Care Practitioner. This full-time role focuses on delivering compassionate, multi-faith spiritual care tailored to the needs of residents, families, and staff.

As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, you will promote high-quality spiritual well-being. You will provide assessments, lead worship and spiritual activities, and engage in compassionate counseling for those in the Bethany community. This role requires understanding and respecting diverse beliefs while fostering an inclusive spiritual environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate pastoral care in a multi-faith context

• Conduct spiritual assessments and follow-ups with residents

• Coordinate and lead spiritual programming and rituals

• Promote constructive relationships within the Interdisciplinary Team

• Track and document spiritual care initiatives and statistics

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in theology and clinical pastoral education

• 5 years of pastoral experience with seniors preferred

• Ordination or endorsement in Pastoral Ministry

• Skills in counseling, communication, and group facilitation

• Active membership with CASC
