Position: Health Care Aide at AgeCare Shawnee
Be a vital part of resident care at Age Care Shawnee as a Health Care Aide. Work collaboratively with the care team to provide essential services to residents with compassion and dignity.

In this temporary part-time role, you will support senior residents under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily activities, promoting their well-being, and ensuring their comfort. Your knowledge in patient care will help you deliver safe and thorough assistance throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with bathing, showering, and personal hygiene

• Help with resident transfers using appropriate equipment

• Support residents during meal times and nourishment

• Provide routine treatments and care as directed

• Accompany residents to social activities and appointments

Requirements:

• One year experience preferred in continuing care

• Post-secondary education is an asset

• Fluent in English both written and spoken

• Completion of recognized PCA/HCA Certificate Course

• Active registration with health care regulatory bodies
