Cardiology Technologist I at SHC

Join the Cardiac Diagnostics team at SHC as a Cardiology Technologist I. Perform essential cardiac tests, from ECGs to Holter Monitoring, while collaborating with healthcare professionals.

As a Cardiology Technologist I, you will prepare patients for non-invasive cardiac examinations, educate them on equipment, and document critical client histories.

Your role includes analyzing test results and generating actionable reports for physicians. You will also provide expertise in cardiac technology while mentoring new staff and serving as a clinical resource.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) with proficiency

• Calibrate and maintain cardiac testing equipment

• Analyze and summarize cardiac test results

• Educate patients on procedures and equipment function

• Provide input for the evaluation of cardiology trainees

Requirements:

• Certificate in Cardiology Technology from an accredited school

• Registration with Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologists

• Recent experience in exercise tolerance/stress testing

• BCLS-HCP certification

• Familiarity with MUSE and GEMS IT systems
