Health Care Aide at AgeCare

Become a vital part of Age Care’s care team as a Health Care Aide, delivering exceptional support to residents in a compassionate, rewarding environment. Collaborate closely with staff under nurse supervision to enhance residents' well-being.

The Health Care Aide role focuses on providing thorough personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring resident comfort. You'll perform tasks such as bathing, feeding, and helping residents with mobility, while adhering to strict safety guidelines. This position is crucial in fostering joy and independence throughout our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bathe and wash residents to maintain personal comfort

• Assist with transfers using safe equipment and methods

• Feed residents during meals, adhering to dietary plans

• Provide routine treatments as directed by nursing staff

• Accompany residents to activities and social engagements

Requirements:

• One year of experience in continuing care preferred

• Certificate in Personal Care Aide or equivalent

• Active registration with CLHA

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Post-secondary education is beneficial
