In this full-time role, you will work collaboratively with a skilled team dedicated to providing exceptional care to seniors. Your primary focus will include assessment, planning, and facilitating recreational activities tailored to individuals’ interests and needs. You will actively engage with residents to develop therapeutic environments and maintain meticulous documentation to track progress and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and report resident assessments regularly
• Facilitate individualized and group therapeutic recreation programs
• Lead activities safely, using risk management strategies
• Collaborate with the recreation team and document outcomes
• Maintain effective communication with families and community partners
Requirements:
• Certification in Recreation Therapy or Health Care Aide
• 1-3 years experience in supportive living or long-term care
• Class 4 driver’s license and updated immunization
• Criminal Reference Check required within 12 months
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
