At The Alex, the Mental Health Clinician will focus on young clients aged 12-24, providing essential intake services at the Youth Health Clinic in Calgary. Your expertise in conducting trauma-informed assessments and single-session counseling will play a key role in guiding clients toward the support they need. Collaborate with a dedicated team to create a safe environment while assisting in referrals and appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trauma-informed mental health intakes
• Provide single session counseling supports
• Refer clients to external agency resources
• Schedule client appointments efficiently
• Compile evaluation and research data
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Active Alberta professional registration
• Experience with vulnerable youth populations
• Knowledge of CHR EMR considered an asset
• Strong communication style emphasizing non-judgment
