Position: Recreation Therapy Aide at AgeCare
Engage residents as a Recreation Therapy Aide at Age Care in Chestermere, AB. This role focuses on promoting independence and social connections through recreational activities and support.

As a Recreation Therapy Aide, you'll assist in delivering recreational programs that enhance the well-being of residents. Your responsibilities include maintaining essential records, evaluating activities, and ensuring supplies are safe and accessible. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adapt to changing priorities are vital for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support planned and spontaneous recreational opportunities

• Maintain accurate documentation and resident assessments

• Evaluate recreation programs for quality improvement

• Ensure the maintenance of supplies and equipment

• Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field

• Enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program

• Experience in delivering recreation services in healthcare

• Ability to adapt to dynamic care environments

• Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain
