Senior Living Occupational Therapist Role

In this role, you report to the Director of Care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Your focus will be on assessing cognitive and physical abilities to tailor rehabilitation programs and educate staff on safe practices. Drive person-centered care, ensuring residents receive optimal support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments of residents for mobility and rehabilitation
• Plan personalized therapy programs including mobility training
• Perform seating and wheelchair assessments for comfort
• Document evaluation outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with families and external therapy professionals
Requirements:
• Completion of recognized occupational therapy program
• Registration with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and mobility support
• Proven collaborative work ethic in team settings
• Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively
