This full-time position is vital in bridging healthcare and Indigenous cultures. You will directly support First Nations, Metis, and Inuit individuals within AHS facilities, helping discharge planning teams incorporate cultural insights. Critical thinking and communication skills are essential as you work collaboratively to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support FNMI clients with healthcare navigation
• Guide discharge planning with cultural insights
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for better patient care
• Provide education on Indigenous wellness methods
• Document consultations and interactions effectively
Requirements:
• Completion of accredited health-related diploma or certificate
• Strong knowledge of various Indigenous cultures
• Critical thinking and effective communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and engage with teams
• Good computer skills for documentation
