Chaplains for Canadian Armed Forces

Serve as a Chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, offering vital spiritual and pastoral care to members and their families. This unique role balances community engagement and military commitment.

In this position, you will be integral in providing an active, personal presence, conducting ceremonies, and advising on ethical dilemmas faced by personnel. Your responsibilities will also include referring members to appropriate support professionals. You’ll work across various military environments, ensuring the spiritual needs of CAF members are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer spiritual growth counselling and programs

• Officiate at military events and ceremonies

• Advise on spiritual and ethical matters to the Chain of Command

• Collaborate with local faith leaders regularly

• Provide support during significant life events

Requirements:

• Must be ordained or recognized by a national Faith Tradition

• Required graduate-level degree in Faith Tradition formation

• Two years of fulltime leadership experience necessary

• Complete necessary military training and evaluations

• Endorsement from Interfaith Committee on Canadian Military Chaplaincy
