Bethany Care Society Spiritual Care Role

Bethany Care Society in Calgary seeks a Spiritual Care Practitioner. This full-time role is dedicated to providing spiritual support aligned with various faith traditions for residents, families, and team members.

As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, you will conduct assessments, facilitate worship and spiritual activities, and engage with the multi-faith community. Your leadership will promote an inclusive environment where residents’ spiritual needs are acknowledged and nurtured. This role requires compassion, understanding, and engagement with various belief systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral support and counseling across faiths

• Conduct spiritual assessments and improve care practices

• Lead programs celebrating spiritual diversity and learning

• Document care services and report community engagement

• Foster positive relationships with team members and families

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a related field with clinical pastoral education

• 5 years of pastoral experience in senior care preferable

• Endorsement and active membership in a religious community

• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with in a diverse, multi-faith context
