Advanced Care Paramedic

Join Emergency Health Services as an Advanced Care Paramedic in Calgary. This full-time role offers diverse challenges in patient transport and emergency care while operating ambulances.

As an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), you will assess emergency situations and transport patients safely from scenes or between facilities. This position requires administering advanced life support, managing patient care, and leading ALS teams in high-pressure environments. You will ensure equipment readiness and adhere to strict safety standards during service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and transport patients from emergency scenes

• Administer advanced life support and medications

• Lead ALS team during patient transport

• Maintain and stock ambulances and transport units

• Work in varying weather and potentially hazardous conditions

Requirements:

• Non-restricted ACP registration with Alberta College

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

• Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence required

• Successfully complete the F.A.R.E. test prior to starting

• Provide satisfactory criminal record check
