Recreation Therapy Aide Role

Position: AgeCare Recreation Therapy Aide Role
Make a meaningful difference in residents' lives at Age Care as a Recreation Therapy Aide. Your support in therapeutic recreation programs enhances rehabilitation and promotes independence and community for residents.

In this role, you'll engage with residents to understand their needs and help develop tailored recreation programs that align with their goals. Collaborating with the care team and sharing insights from daily interactions will elevate the quality of care provided. Your contributions will ensure safe transportation for residents during outings, enriching their experiences in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify residents' needs through communication and observation

• Assist with admission assessments for recreational therapy

• Share relevant information with rehabilitative team members

• Participate in developing individualized recreation programs

• Facilitate safe outings while managing attendance

Requirements:

• RTA Certificate is preferred

• Current CPR certification is mandatory

• Experience with seniors or recreational settings is beneficial

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
