Neuropsychologist –
Calgary
- Chinook, AB

We are looking for a part time Neuropsychologist (Independent Contractor) for our Calgary
- Chinook Location, which specializes in neurorehabilitation.

The Neuropsychologist is responsible for completing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and brief neuropsychological assessments. These assessments are utilized to identify cognitive deficits that can occur post traumatic brain injury and stroke, and provide guidance to a team of professionals who coordinate return to work and rehabilitation for individuals who have been referred to the clinic by a variety of funders.

Formal

Education:

  • Doctorate Degree in psychology from an institution approved by the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Minimum 2 years experience post PhD is preferred, but not required
  • Active registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Maintenance of individual professional insurance required

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation to an interdisciplinary team of professionals on recommendations for return to work, and required accommodations.
  • Work with a variety of third party payers (i.e., Workers’ Compensation Board, Auto Insurers, Disability Insurers, etc.) Counselling, Individual/family
  • Contribute to clinical formulations and prepare concise and timely reports for stakeholders
  • Complete brief and full neuropsychological batteries

Additional

Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work both autonomously, as well as part of an interdisciplinary health care team
  • Efficiency and responsiveness in provision of required clinical documentation
