Outreach Counsellor for Family Violence Support

In this role, the Outreach Clinical Counsellor will collaborate with community organizations and team members to provide impactful counselling services under the Equally Safe initiative. Your expertise in trauma-informed treatment will be crucial in aiding clients to build resilience and enhance their emotional well-being. The position also includes crisis intervention and stabilization strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct trauma-informed counselling for clients in need

• Offer short-term therapy interventions and support

• Partner with community organizations like Calgary Police Service

• Manage client referrals to additional resources

• Document client progress and maintain case accuracy

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling or Social Work

• Minimum 2 years experience in relevant fields

• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques

• First Aid and CPR certifications needed within 3 months

• Background check is mandatory
