Health Care Aide

Position: Health Care Aide at Optima Living
Enhance the lives of seniors as a Health Care Aide with Optima Living in Calgary, Alberta. This vital role focuses on person-centered care, supporting residents' daily living activities.

As a Health Care Aide at Optima Living, you will work under the leadership of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with their physical, emotional, and social needs. You will play a key part in promoting maximum independence and dignity while following established care plans and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support care team in residents' care and services

• Assist with move ins, palliative care, and post-death support

• Document resident care and report changes to leadership

• Respond to call bells and resident needs promptly

• Assist residents with daily living, mobility, and recreation

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program

• Current registration with Alberta's College of LPNs and HCAs

• Experience in residential care or mental health settings is an asset

• Active CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe certifications

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
