Health Care Aide

Position: Optima Living Health Care Aide Role
Join Optima Living in Calgary as a Health Care Aide and provide essential support to seniors. This role centers on enhancing residents' quality of life through compassionate care.

In this position, you will report to the Director of Care and work alongside a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Your primary duties encompass assisting residents with their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and dignity. You will follow individualized care plans while adhering to organizational guidelines and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate care and services tailored to residents' needs

• Provide palliative support and care during transitions

• Document and communicate resident care effectively

• Respond to resident requests and emergencies quickly

• Assist in recreational activities and meals for residents

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Health Care Aide program

• Current registration with Alberta's health care regulatory bodies

• Experience in a residential care environment preferred

• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Food Safe are advantageous

• Proven collaboration skills in a healthcare setting
