This part-time position involves direct interaction with patients, families, and caregivers in the long-term care unit. You will work collaboratively with nurses to deliver routine care, addressing hygiene, nutrition, and mobility needs. Observing and reporting on patients' health and safety will be crucial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care
• Support nurses in providing routine care and medication
• Observe and report on patients' mood and wellbeing
• Facilitate organized activities and programs for patients
• Maintain a safe environment for all in the facility
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta
• Health Care Aide Certificate or completion within 18 months
• Commitment to patient safety and communication
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to assist with varied patient needs
Support patient care as a Health Care Aide creating a safe and responsive environment at Canmore General Hospital.
