About Ascent Home Care
At Ascent Home Care, we believe exceptional care starts with taking exceptional care of the people who provide it.
We are a nurse-founded, nurse-led home care company built by people who understand caregiving from the inside. We've seen what happens when caregivers feel unsupported, schedules become unsustainable, and the people providing care feel like a number. We're building a different kind of home care company. One where caregivers are respected as professionals, supported by accessible leadership, and given the tools they need to provide care they're proud of.
WhatMakes Ascent Different You Matter Here
We take the time to know our caregivers, understand their strengths, and support them in doing their best work. Our leadership team stays connected and accessible because we believe good leadership means understanding what's happening in the homes, not only what's happening in the office.
Consistent Client AssignmentsWhenever possible, we prioritize consistent client-caregiver matching so you can get to know the people you support, understand their routines and preferences, and build meaningful relationships with their families.
Consistency is better for our clients, and we believe it's better for caregivers too.
People-Centred DecisionsFrom scheduling and client matching to communication and care planning, we consider the needs of both our caregivers and the families we serve. We believe high-quality home care requires listening, communicating clearly, and treating people with respect.
Professional GrowthYou'll have access to ongoing education, clinical guidance, mentorship from experienced nurses, and opportunities to strengthen your skills in areas such as dementia care and complex client needs. We invest in our caregivers because when you feel confident, prepared, and supported, our clients receive better care.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Cares DeeplyYou understand that great care is about more than completing a task list. You notice the little things, treat people with dignity, and understand that kindness, patience, and human connection are an important part of helping someone feel safe and cared for in their own home.
Families depend on you, and you take that responsibility seriously. You show up when you're scheduled, communicate when something changes, and understand that consistency helps build trust with clients, families, and your team.
Growth-MindedYou're open to learning, feedback, and developing your skills. Whether it's strengthening your approach to dementia care, improving communication, or learning new care techniques, you want to continue growing as a caregiver.
Team PlayerHome care may happen in a client's home, but you are never working alone. You communicate openly, support your colleagues, ask questions when you need guidance, and work collaboratively with our nursing and leadership team.
