As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will support residents under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse. This full-time position emphasizes safe and thorough care, including personal hygiene, meal assistance, and mobility support. Utilizing your knowledge and skills, you will ensure a comfortable and dignified environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bathe and shower residents while ensuring comfort
• Assist residents with transfers using appropriate equipment
• Feed and support residents during meals
• Provide routine treatments and care procedures
• Accompany residents to activities and appointments
Requirements:
• Minimum one year in a related care environment
• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide Certificate
• Active registration with CLHA
• English fluency in speaking and writing
• Post-secondary education is an asset
