Position: Therapeutic Recovery Coach Role
Join Beccarian Correctional Care as a Recovery Coach in Calgary. This casual position focuses on evidence-based support, community engagement, and positive recovery modeling during evenings and weekends.

As a Recovery Coach in our Therapeutic Living Units, you will engage with individuals in their recovery journey within a correctional setting.

Your role will involve motivating members through group participation, recreational activities, and leading recovery meetings. You'll contribute to fostering a community atmosphere grounded in mutual support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent care and support to members during evening hours

• Assist in therapy and recreational programming sessions

• Lead or co-lead recovery meetings for supportive engagement

• Observe and report on members' progress and insights

• Support crisis management efforts to maintain safety

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a support or caregiving role

• Strong communication and rapport-building skills

• Familiarity with mental health and substance use disorders

• Ability to manage sensitive situations with compassion

• Lived experience with recovery is advantageous
