Health Care Aide

Position: Full Time Health Care Aide
Make a meaningful impact as a Full Time Health Care Aide at Age Care Shawnee in Calgary, Alberta. Collaborate closely with a dedicated care team to provide essential resident care every evening.

At Age Care Shawnee, the Health Care Aide executes a range of basic care responsibilities under the guidance of a Licensed Practical Nurse. You will engage in personal care activities, assist with meals, and support residents in their daily activities. Prior experience in continuing care is preferred as you provide compassionate support to enhance residents' well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with bathing, showering, and personal hygiene

• Support safe transfers using mechanical lifts and transfer belts

• Aid residents during meals and ensure proper nutritional care

• Provide routine treatments and follow personalized care plans

• Facilitate residents’ mobility throughout the facility

Requirements:

• One year of experience in continuing care preferred

• Completion of a recognized Personal Care Aide Certificate

• Active registration with the CLHA

• Fluent in English, written and spoken

• Post-secondary education is an asset
