AgeCare Recreation Therapist Position

As a full-time Recreation Therapist at Age Care in SkyPointe, your role will include assessing residents’ interests and crafting tailored therapy programs. You will work closely with residents and staff to enhance engagement in leisure activities, ensuring each individual achieves their personal goals and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate individual resident needs and preferences for therapy

• Develop and implement recreation therapy treatment plans

• Direct Recreation Therapy Aides in programming and activities

• Maintain accurate assessments and progress documentation

• Report on resident engagement at interdisciplinary meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Recreation Therapy

• Registration eligibility with a provincial therapeutic association

• Previous healthcare experience as a Recreation Therapist

• Strong team collaboration and communication skills

• Willingness to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check
