Occupational Therapist
to join our multidisciplinary team in
Calgary and surrounding areas

This is an
Independent Contractor
opportunity supporting children, youth, and families through individualized, family-centred services, including families receiving support through
Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).

Location:Calgary & Surrounding Areas

Population:Pediatric and neurodiverse children and youth

As an Occupational Therapist, you may:

• Complete occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized recommendations and intervention plans
• Support sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, motor planning, and functional participation
• Provide direct therapy, consultation, caregiver education, and home or community-based strategies
• Collaborate with families, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Behavioural Consultants, Behavioural & Developmental Aides, and other team members
• Contribute to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and multidisciplinary service planning for FSCD Specialized Services when applicable
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies based on the child and family’s goals
• Complete clinical notes, reports, progress summaries, and other required documentation
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with families and other professionals

• Registered with the
  Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
• Current and valid ACOT Practice Permit
• Professional liability insurance
• Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Ability to maintain professional documentation and confidentiality requirements
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team

• Experience supporting neurodiverse children and youth
• Experience with FSCD-funded services, including Specialized Services or Behavioural & Developmental Supports
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with sensory processing, regulation, feeding, fine motor, self-care, or functional participation goals
