MFM Ultrasound Technologist; Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are currently looking for CRGS certified, or soon to be certified,
Ultrasound Technologists to join our expanding maternal fetal medicine (MFM) focused outpatient clinic practice in a casual position. Working collaboratively with our Perinatologists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position MFM patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

• Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct routine and specialized sonography imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
• Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
• Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver remarkable care.
• Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and specialize in additional skillsets such as Interventional, MSK, and Breast.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track ultrasound equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.
• Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.

• Professional Membership: Certified Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) through Sonography Canada, or eligible to obtain. Current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), or eligibility for registration.

  Experience:
  
  Clinical competency as a generalist sonographer, with an interest in refining and expanding skills in advanced practice areas such as pediatrics, MSK, OB/GYN, vascular and cardiac exams, and interventional procedures.
• Specialized Knowledge: Experience with MFM ultrasound exams is considered an asset.

• Position Type: Casual
• Schedule: Wednesdays and Mondays, as needed.
• Work Location: This position will be based from our Pacific Place clinic.
• Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT is required.
