Health Care Aide

Position: Health Care Aide at AgeCare
Enhance lives as a Health Care Aide with Age Care, collaborating with the care team to deliver compassionate resident care in a supportive environment. This role requires skilled assistance with daily living activities and resident well-being.

As a Health Care Aide, you will work under the supervision of a Staff Nurse, applying your skills to meet residents' individual needs. You will support them with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal assistance, and mobility.

Your role is vital in providing meaningful care that promotes quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bathe and wash residents following care plans

• Assist with resident transfers using proper equipment

• Feed residents during meals as per diet plans

• Provide routine treatments under nurse supervision

• Assist residents in community and recreational activities

Requirements:

• One year experience in continuing care preferred

• Recognized Personal Care Aide Certificate required

• Active registration with CLHA

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written

• Post-secondary education is an asset
