Tele-Triage Mental Health Therapist

Join the Primary Care Addiction and Mental Health Helpline as a Mental Health Therapist providing crucial tele-triage support. Engage with callers in crisis through effective psychoeducation and interventions.

In this regular part-time role at Health Link, you'll primarily operate from Southport Tower, offering 24/7 mental health support to Albertans. Utilize your skills in risk assessment and de-escalation to assist individuals facing addiction and severe mental health challenges. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver evidence-based crisis intervention and tele-triage services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct tele-triage for mental health calls

• Provide supportive listening and clinical interventions

• Assess urgent situations and offer appropriate referrals

• Participate in clinical supervision and debriefing

• Engage in quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work

• Registered with Alberta regulatory college

• 3-5 years experience in mental health services

• Competency in crisis intervention and tele-triage

• Strong knowledge of addiction and mental health systems
