In this Health Information Management Professional I position, you will engage with patient health records and contribute to data quality initiatives. Your attention to detail will play a crucial role in maintaining high coding standards while efficiently managing workflow. You will be required to pass a provincial coding proficiency test prior to interview.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review clinical documentation for coding accuracy
• Apply diagnoses and intervention codes per guidelines
• Identify and escalate documentation issues
• Run and reconcile reports for data quality
• Maintain confidentiality of all AHS information
Requirements:
• Diploma from an accredited HIM program
• Eligibility with Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA)
• Knowledge of Canadian Coding Standards
• Minimum one year coding experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
