Patient Transport Service Worker

Position: Patient Transport Service Worker I
Support patient care as a Service Worker I with Alberta Kidney Care - North. Engage in essential duties like transporting patients and maintaining hemodialysis machines at Rocky Mountain House.

In this part-time role, you assist the nursing staff by transporting patients, distributing hospital supplies, and cleaning patient care areas. This position emphasizes patient comfort and efficient unit operations within the Alberta Kidney Care North - Hemodialysis Unit. You'll also be responsible for reporting safety concerns to Unit Managers while ensuring proper maintenance of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients and equipment throughout hospital areas

• Assist with setting up and managing hemodialysis machines

• Distribute and replenish hospital supplies to units

• Maintain patient care areas and clean equipment

• Deliver specimens and patient charts efficiently

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent certification

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs (18 kg)

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Previous experience in patient transport is preferred
