Join a dedicated multi-disciplinary team at Sheldon M Chumir Health Centre. As an Occupational Therapist I, support clients with mental health challenges through innovative therapies and community outreach.
This role requires 2-3 years of adult mental health experience and a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. You'll provide comprehensive services focused on assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation while collaborating with clients, families, and community resources. Your proactive approach will ensure clients achieve functional independence and optimal wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver evidence-informed occupational therapy services
• Conduct assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and support programs
• Engage in case management and connect clients with resources
• Provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants and students
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registered with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists
• 2-3 years experience in adult mental health
• Knowledge of Addiction and Mental Health services
• Driver's license and personal vehicle required
