Our client is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their team and support a wide range of payroll, benefits, and HR functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking for flexibility in their schedule!

Your new role

Payroll Operations
  • Process semi-monthly and off-cycle payrolls for salaried and limited hourly staff
  • Track vacation, leave, overtime, and other payroll-related items
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll data and personnel files
  • Assist with journal entries, payroll registers, and year-end processing (T4s, T2200s, WCB, etc.)
  • Respond to payroll inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Benefits Administration
  • Support enrolment and updates in benefit systems (health, RRSPs, EFAP, etc.)
  • Assist with invoice reviews and benefit deduction updates
  • Provide administrative support for disability claims
  • HR Support
  • Assist with recruitment activities, job postings, and screening
  • Prepare offer letters and termination paperwork
  • Support performance management and employee relations under guidance
  • Maintain knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices
  • What you'll need to succeed

  • PCP designation from the Canadian Payroll Association
  • 4+ years of payroll experience (HR experience is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel is a bonus)
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Post-secondary education in Business, HR, or related field
  • Accounting experience
  • Previous experience in a payroll/HR support role
