Job Summary  Reporting to the Senior Manager, HRBP (Safety, Health, Environment and Security, Technical Services, Patience Lake and New Brunswick) the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions to the business leaders within Nutrien, supporting a range of Operational sites and Corporate business functions. This position collaborates as a strategic business partner with leaders within the assigned client groups to contribute to business direction and strategy through the effective development and deployment of HR initiatives.

This role is instrumental in working with the business to coordinate and oversee large scale organizational transformation while aligning programs and practices to support Nutrien’s business strategy.
What You'll Do  In partnership with site and global functional leadership teams, create, implement, and guide the human resources priorities & KPI in support of the functional strategic roadmap
Partner with business leaders to strengthen organizational capability and advance HR Operating Model priorities through organizational design, change leadership, workforce planning, and talent initiatives in support of One Nutrien
Serve as an unbiased consultant to the business to mitigate risk to the company by ensuring fair treatment and a balanced approach for those impacted by the implementation of new policy, procedures and/or organizational change, problem resolution and human capital decisions
Consult with leaders to anticipate future human capital requirements based on business, industry and market conditions
Provide HR expertise to client groups as it pertains to total compensation (salary, incentives, benefits, pension), recruitment, employee and labour relations, organizational effectiveness, succession, and learning & development
Anticipate the impact that new or cyclical HR initiatives will have on the client groups and work with leaders to implement and execute them accordingly
Demonstrate strong knowledge of HR initiatives and policies and leverage the Centers of Excellence (COE), external data, and leading practices
Utilize change management philosophy to advise and guide client group leaders when designing future state changes (people, process, and structure), preparing change and communication plans, and implementing those changes
Apply critical thinking and thought leadership to diagnose moderately complex performance issues and work with business leaders to develop solutions and support implementation
Support the implementation of HR initiatives and projects within the client groups
Work with client groups to champion the enterprise culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the appropriate talent and succession structure, engagement model, performance management, and recognition systems are in place
